Per Capita Giving
We are in the last quarter of the current fiscal year and have received $1,298.94 toward our 2008 total of $3,872.78. We thank each active member who has paid their per capita and an extra thank you
to those who may have chosen to help with extra payments and generous gifts.
"… the Lord loves a cheerful giver (2 Cor. 9:7)."
Session strongly urges all active members to pay their per capita over and above their regular giving. This year's per capita for each active member is $23.33. If you have not yet paid your per capita, please do so by December 31st. The outstanding balance is $2,573.84

Prayer for Use Before Worship :
Almighty God, we pray for your blessing on the church in this place. Here may the faithful find salvation, and the careless be awakened. Here may the doubting find faith, and the anxious be encouraged. Here may the tempted find help, and the sorrowful comfort. Here may the weary find rest, and the strong be renewed. Here may the aged find consolation, and the young be inspired; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

SPECIAL OFFERINGS
We received a total of $166.00 for the
2008 Peacemaking Offering. The Session voted to designate Wild Flower Church's portion of $41.50 to our Kid's Bible Club program held on Wednesday nights at 7 p.m.
The next mission offering we will be collecting is the Christmas Joy Offering, traditionally collected on Christmas Eve. Christmas is a joyful time of giving and receiving in which we celebrate God's great gift to us. The session encourages you to give generously to those who give so much to us throughout the year. This offering supports those who minister to young students in higher education and helps ministers and their families in times of need.
